Kurt and Heather Cordingley have been married for 24 years. They have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. Kurt was born and raised in Ashton and not far down the road to St. Anthony is where Heather grew up. Kurt has been in the logging business for 37 years. Heather worked for Madison Memorial for 8 years. Becoming tired of the commute from Ashton to Rexburg and needing to be home for their two younger children, it was time for Heather to work from home, in Ashton. Kurt and Heather purchased the building on HWY 20 across from the Rankin Motel in December of 2017 to embark on a new adventure and provide new opportunities in the business community of Ashton.
Being a recreational destination, Kurt and Heather saw the need to offer “water toys” for many tourists and locals desiring to experience a river adventure. Seeing this need they created and opened Rapid River Rentals. Floating the river has been a long-time tradition for many locals, family & class reunions, and those needing to cool off on a warm summer day.
